The next block of racing is coming up: three World Cups in less than four weeks - first up is Winterberg.
Following a successful round 3 in Waregem, the 2017 UCI MTB Eliminator World Cup now takes us to Winterberg in Germany on August 26 and 27.
The upcoming round in Winterberg is totally different from what we have seen so far. A hilly circuit will expose the competitors on a course with several off-road sections. Round 5 in Apeldoorn (NED) takes place the week after Winterberg, followed by Antwerp (BEL) on September 24.The finals will be held in Antwerp.
Winterberg is located in the Sauerland region and is a popular destination among winter sport lovers. It boasts the largest connected ski area north of the Alps. Winterberg also has a national training centre for several Olympic disciplines.
The city almost welcomes 1,000,000 over the winter period.

Race course
The course is situated in the Kur- und Vitalpark, in the heart of Winterberg. The track is 480 m long and passes through a hilly ground of the Kurpark on natural green and fine broken stones.

Aussichtsturm Kahler Asten
At Kahler Asten you start your climb alongside historic walls up to the viewing platform where you can enjoy the view over „thousand mountains“. After visiting the nature study museum, the Lenne spring and the heathland you enjoy a little break at the „tower“ and visit on of our restaurants.
